SANDEN
started producing automotive air-conditioners and SD compressors for automotive
air-conditioners in 1971.
Some Volvo C30, Volvo S40, Volvo V50 and Volvo V70 are built with the same air conditioning compressor. The Original
Equipment Manufacturer Numbers (OEM numbers) are Volvo 31291882, 36000990.
The air-conditioning system of these vehicles was assembled with a
Sanden 7V16 compressor. Manufacturer numbers: Sanden 1248, 1255, 1288.
These
ac units seem to be interchangeable.
